This is a reminder about a competition previously announced to planning schools accredited by the Planning Accreditation Board (PAB).

The Hazard Mitigation and Disaster Recovery Planning Division seeks submissions from professional graduate planning students for a Division Award, the Best Paper on Hazard Mitigation and/or Disaster Recovery.  An awards committee comprised of hazard planning faculty researchers from around the US will choose the best submission, and will award a total of $2,500 in prizes to one or more winning individuals or team.  Winners will be notified no later than March 31, 2017, and will be recognized at the meeting of the HMDR Division at the National Conference of the American Planning Association in New York City in May, 2017.
